Review summary: The Macworld team take a look at the first iPod to integrate the iTunes Store.
Pros: Fantastic multi-touch interface, slim design, scratchproof screen, Safari web browser in your pocket, YouTube access, large screen is video friendly
Cons: Limited hard drive size, screen smudges easily, lack of Flash in Safari, intentionally hobbled functions - such as no Mail application, limited Calendar functionality
Verdict: We would argue that at £199 for the 8GB model, the iPod touch is better value than the iPhone. Certainly with the iPhone lacking that all-important 3G functionality that many people crave, it may be wise to go for an iPod touch now, and wait for Apple to

Review summary: With 32GB of storage and 5 new applications, Apple's revision to the iPod touch is a welcome update to this excellent product.

Pros: Multi-touch interface is a blast; It's the first true video iPod; Decent sound and picture quality; Incredibly slim and light
Cons: The iPod touch is too similar to the iPhone; Contrast and viewing angle are average; Not enough storage for some; Feels like a rush job
Verdict: As is stands, the iPod touch is actually a very good audio / video player that bears an unhealthy similarity to one of the most over-hyped products of the year. Maybe the iPod touch 2.0 will be more distinctive
